Hangin' with some friends

We had a few of our friends over to check out the new house.  Olivia and Sofia entertained Ryden.  And Petra and this huge dog entertained Trevin (although he doesn't look quite entertained in this picture...)  This picture was taken about 2 minutes before Trev fell asleep sitting up..
What's a party without giving lots of sugar to our guests...
And since we have a mini basketball "court" in our backyard...the friendly competition between the men started...
Free throws...and dunking..
Judge for yourself...who's destined for a spot on the NBA?
Jason??
Shawn??
Jared??
And the ladies sat inside and drank champagne.  Good trade off...

My first jewelry show

So I am now a stylist for Stella & Dot jewelry which means I get to throw fabulous jewelry parties at my friend's houses.  I am not that great of a sales women, but this stuff is actually fun to promote.  Lots of fun, pretty stuff and I get to hang out with friends and drink wine while they try on some bling.  Courtney was my first victim and as you can see, I had a few helpers willing to try stuff on...
It was a fun night and I think I am going to enjoy this mini adventure with Stella & Dot..
Please check out the website and tell your friends and family...
Buy some fun stuff...let me know if you are interested in hosting a party...

FUN FACT:  I was singing some song and Ryden said "You know what song I like?  Get Lucky.  I also like the Counting Stars song".  Trevin casually walked up to us both..looked at us...and said "I like big butts".  Guess I should stop letting him listen to 'Baby Got Back' by Sir-Mix-a-lot

Valentine's Day

I'm not a huge Valentine's Day fan.  Seems like just another typical day when your husband spoils you rotten all year long.  But it is so much fun for the kids and so we made valentines both for Ry's class and Trev's class.  Trevin's class was filled with little ones in red and pink!
The snack moms brought cute little un-frosted cupcakes that they frosted separately and gave to each kid.  After Trev ate his frosted one, he noticed the tray of unfrosted ones and said "Mama, one more muffin?"  One mom looked at me and said "He's pretty darn smart to ask for a 'muffin' vs a 'cupcake'"  Yeah..he's pretty tricky like that.  Needless to say, he got another 'muffin'....without frosting.
Hangin' out with his homegirl Casey
This was the best we could do with a group picture.
We hung out a little after class was over and played with our girls Brinley and Riley.
Brinley got some pretty good shots herself
Miss Brinley was the one who decided to be Trevin's valentine
Then we headed over to pick up Ryden from his preschool.  Ry was so excited to show me all of his valentines and talk about his day with me.  Quick story:
Ry:  I wanted a heart bagel for snack but I got cereal instead
Me:  Why?
Ry:  Because Ava..she's my valentine...picked cereal and she wanted me to have the same thing as her.  I sat by her too Mama.

Ryden's other valentine came to greet him.  Mila adores 'Ryan'
And Trevin adores monkey/paci
And a nice movie night to complete Valentine's Day...look at all those snuggle bugs..
LOVE

It's Valentines Day which explains the frosting on Trevin's face.

FUN FACT:  I asked Ry if he had a valentine this year and he said "Yes.  I asked Ava and she said she would be my valentine.  I was going to ask Holland but I asked Ava instead.  I'll be Holland's valentine next year because she plays basketball with me."  So many girls...so little time.

Venice Beach and Santa Monica

Mel and Nick came for a quick weekend visit so we decided to do some sightseeing.  First, we headed to the skatepark at Venice Beach.  The boys were entranced..so was Dada
Then Ryden had to bust out some sweet moves also...
My mom got the boys a Build-a-Bear that came with Skechers shoes and a skateboard.  Well...Trev now uses that skateboard as his own...mind you, it is a little itty bitty skateboard that he can barely fit his two feet on.
Fake bail
We walked around for only a few minutes after that and decided that Santa Monica would be more our style.  So we took one last pic by some wooden skateboarder dude and got back in the car.
Santa Monica was more like it...because they had RIDES!
The Ferris Wheel is one of my personal favs.
And how excited was Ryden when he found out he was tall enough to ride the roller coaster!  So Auntie, Nick, and Dada rode with him..
While we were waiting for the roller coasters to finish, Grandma took Trev on a ride that he was less than thrilled about.  Teresa told me he was upset from the get-go.  He got mad when the guy took the ticket so they could ride...then he got mad that he had to wear a seat belt.  His look below pretty much sums up how he was the whole ride...
Slight smile...
Not impressed....
Much better with a lollipop...
He even picked out one for his bro...
Lollipop dance!
We took one last final walk on the pier before we headed to the airport to drop off Auntie and Nick.
