I'M 16 MONTHS OLD!!!

WEIGHT:  21.5 LBS
FAVORITE TOY:  He just got this new toy for Christmas that you whack the balls with a hammer.  Wow does he whack 'em good (that sounds wrong)
FAVORITE ACTIVITY:  Def dancing!  Grandma turned on some Cyndi Lauper and the kid was doing some sweet moves.  Mostly trying to imitate his brother but it was the best to watch!  SYTYCD season 30 here we come!
FAVORITE WORDS TO SAY:  Pretty much just says Mama, Dada or Ma for more
MILESTONES:  Can walk down stairs semi normal now.  When we have several picture flash cards on the ground, he will pick out the item we name.  He is starting to listen a tad bit better now.
DISLIKES:  Not getting his way.  Fit city!  Still a little stranger danger.  Sleeping!  Hoping we can get back into sleeping through the night after vacation.
MAMA'S FAVORITE:  When I sing "Happy and you know it" he does all the motions.  Loved watching him do the dance off with his brother.  Still cuddles with Mama in the morning...love this!
DAD'S FAVORITE:  Playing wrestle mania

Park day in Tucson

While we were in Tucson for Christmas, we had a really fun park day.  Although it was a tad cold it was ok because the kids were dressed in their "chill" outfits (that one is for you Cody).
You can see how the dry Tucson weather affected Trev.  His little cheeks were perma-red the entire time.
Trevie's favorite thing to do?  Run down hills...whoa doggies!
And Ry rode his scooter down the hill like a boss
Happy to be outside...
Cartoon teeth
The behind shot
Just doin' some reps
Attempt at a karate kick pic
Perfectly content playing in the dirt

Ryden's Christmas recital

This was possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen!  Ever since I had kids I have dreamed of this moment.  I love everything about watching these little people in action.  They got on stage and recited "The Chubby Little Snowman".  If I played the video....I would give $100 to the first person that could understand any word they are saying (which made it hilarious to watch!)  They all basically yelled and mumbled something about a carrot nose.
After yelling the snowman poem..they were handed some bells.  They proceeded to do a short routine to "Run, Run, Rudolph".  I was dying of laugher.  It was amazing and Ryden was shakin' his money maker the whole time.
This entire performance made my day.  And we were lucky to have Papa and Daddy there to watch as well.

Happy 1st birthday Ivy!

Moses's baby sister turned ONE last weekend so we headed down to her birthday party.  Ry got to hang with all his homies.  It was so fun to see him interact with them.  Especially Ayla...the minute they saw each other, they just followed one another all over the gym.  BFF's!!
Trev had a blast also!  He was a free man running all around...climbing...jumping
The attempt at getting a group picture.  The birthday girl headed for the hills right away
Rollin' with the old homies

Thanksgiving

I am a little behind but we celebrated Thanksgiving down in our old hood Oceanside with Teresa, Auntie, and Nick.  I managed to not get a few swinging pictures on Thanksgiving day, that's all.  But made up for it when we went to the SD zoo and Balboa park the next day.
Bill Murray impersonation

The zoo was a mad house but we still managed to see tons of stuff
Flamingos...check
Monkeys...check
Fish....check

Orangutans...check
Trev even made a new friend...they both high fived the primate
A monkey riding a hippo....check
And Ryden's favorite...the Panda's...check!
Then I made Ryden sit on a metal hippo...not too impressed
Teresa and Jason took the boys into the petting zoo while I sat on the sidelines.  Just not my thing...But seemed to totally be Trevin's thing!
Photo by the great Ryden.  When Ry is taking your picture it helps to bend down so your head doesn't get cut off
The only way I could get Ry to go into the petting zoo was the promise of washing his hands in the mini sink afterwards
Time to get out some energy
After the zoo...we headed to Balboa Park to kill sometime before Auntie got off work...we rode this cute little train

Airplane ride!
This is the first attempt at trying to take a nice picture by the fountain....awesome Ryden
2nd attempt....
3rd attempt...drama Trevin

Much easier with just the two of us
Then we headed over to Ryden's dream place...the Cactus Garden!

Then Ryden got a hold of the camera
Just a boy...staring off...pondering life
Taking a picture with Trevin = Nightmare on Elm Street
So artistic...
