Ryden updates at 3 1/2

FAVORITE SONG:  Loves loves "We are never getting back together" by Taylor Swift.  Dorky I know but he belts in out!
FAVORITE SHOW:  If I have to hear Curious George one more time I might go to the looney bin.  He is also very much into Jake and the Neverland Pirates
FAVORITE THING TO WEAR:  Loves his DC shoes because he can put them on all by himself.  Also, loves when I dress him and Trev as twins.
SO IN:  Collecting leaves, sticks and rocks.  You should see the collection I have in my car.  He also loves sounding out words and telling you what letter they start with.  He is right 90% of the time.  Smarty pants.
SO OUT:  Bowling.  Although, he still likes it...he is not obsessively playing it all the time.  His bowling set is collecting dust in the closet at the moment
FUNNY SAYING:  I helped him pull up his pants one time.  He said "No Mama, like this" and proceeded to pull them up over his belly button... "Like Papa".  I guess my dad doesn't have a shot at being a Gangsta..

This is always a good idea...

Turkey trot

I do believe I have started a new tradition. This Thanksgiving I talked Jason and Teresa into participating in the 5 mile turkey trot. It was a great way to start the day even if it did feel like the longest 5 miles ever! (didn't practice as much as I should have before hand). I finished in 51 minutes which makes me almost the slowest runner in the universe. But as long as I just keep running, just keep running, I don't worry about anything else. And I passed tons of people! Ok they were walking but still..
I sure do love my medal

I personally think it is never to early to decorate! I love seeing Christmas stuff out already. So do the boys

Sketchers friendship walk

A few weekends ago, we participated in a fundraiser walk hosted by sketchers. It was amazing to see 8000+ people walking from pier to pier. Brooke Burke even joined in on the action. If my mom was there she would have made me take a picture with her. I'm glad I got to join in such an awesome event along with a few of Jason's co-workers

Trevin's class

Trevin's preschool class all dressed up on Halloween also. Cutest thing ever. Not cute? Trying to get all these 1 yr olds to sit still for a picture. Obviously, my kid doesn't follow directions very well

Halloween

Ryden's preschool had a costume parade on Halloween.  It was adorable to see all the kids prance around the school.  When I told Ryden he was going to be in a parade he freaked out at first.  He thought it was a real parade complete with loud music, drums, marching, the works...he calmed down when he realized he just had to walk around.  Even seemed a little bored while waiting for his classrooms turn...
Trev was equally bored...
Ryden and Myles
Bored again...
Room number 9...work it!  You can see Ry's hair from a mile away
Trev made his own parade..no one joined
Ryden's teacher Miss Jessica...he loves her
and Miss Sue
For Halloween night, we went down to Riviera Village right by our house.  All the stores pass out candy.  There were a gazillon people there but it was really fun and Ryden scored on candy.  Of course, we were dressed as Cat and the Hat and the Things....man...you would've thought we were celebrities or something.  I swear we got a lot of attention.  People were yelling from across the street "thing one!!  thing two!!  Yeah!"  "Great costumes!  So cute!!"  I mean geez...I didn't think I was that original.  Some lady passing out candy even made Ryden stop so she could take a picture of him and totally held up the line..
Trev was slightly pissed off when we got there but once he got a lollipop, all was ok
Ryden....bored again?
See??  Not original...we found some other things...
Ready to check out the candy stash...
Spoooky picture
We asked Ryden if he wanted to go trick or treat at the houses by our house.  "Nope...I'm good" was his reply...so home we went
"I scored!"

Disneyland....again?

Since Jason has been traveling and working like a mad man, I convinced him to have a family day at Disney.  Yes, we have been there so many times in the past few weeks but never with Daddy.  We had such a blast!  Princess Aurora even showed up to hang with us for the day..
Sooo good to see my friend Cara.  Ryden and Aurora are so sweet together.  She always wanted to sit by him on the rides and when she was scared Ry would say "its ok...I'm right here".  Love them!
Small World was closed which Ry was a little upset about.  So we stood in front of it for awhile commenting on the water being gone and the clock not working..
Roger Rabbit was a little whip-lashy but lots of stuff for A.D.D Trev to look at
Since Ry isn't tall enough for the cool rides....he settled for the 15 second roller coaster in toon town
..while I waited with passed out patty
Drivin' the cars....
...and watchin' the ducks
If you know Ryden, you know how much he loves to jump off things.  Well, while we were taking a small break, he was jumping off a bench thing near space mountain.  He jumped and then proceeded to slip and whack his head against a sharp rock.  His head started bleeding so much that we had the Disneyland medics come up and look at him.  Thankfully, it was nothing that a little ferris wheel couldn't fix...heart attack city!
Still happy
We went to the Pixar parade again...and of course, Trev seemed to want to start his own parade.
I believe this is the winner of 'boring-est ride'...but Ryden loves it.  Sorry Bug's Life
While I was waiting for Jason to take Ry on the Mater ride I just happened to run into four of the dancers from So You Think You Can Dance.  I was completely star struck as this is one of my favorite shows!  They were all super duper nice and let me take a pic with them.  Seriously died!
After all the excitement, everyone was ready to go home...well I could've stayed longer, even after this being the FIFTH time I've been here in two weeks.  It was a great day.  Lots of family time...just what we all needed
