Fun in the ball pit

Yesterday we took the babies to Playwerx which is an indoor play area.  Yeah....Ryden wasn't too happy about the ball pit to begin with.  He just sank down and started pouting.  But after a while he saw how much Aurora and Ayla liked it so he started diggin' it a little more.  This place will be GREAT when the babies are older because the mommies can chill and have a latte while the kids go crazy!  We had a bigger group of people so at one point we took over the whole ball pit.
What is this place?  Aurora sure is diggin' it!

Get me out of here please

How would life be with twins?  How did you do it Aunt Chris???

Check out Ryden's hair...hello hair plugs for men!

Rora loves it!

Classic Ryden....fingers in mouth

I'M 8 MONTHS OLD!!

WEIGHT:  19lbs 4oz
LENGTH:  28 inches
FAVORITE TOY:  Train ball popper...and Daddy's "live strong" style bracelet.  He will chew on that and entertain himself for days.  Odd I know
FAVORITE ACTIVITY:  He loves playing with his other baby friends at church.  Loves the swings and would be content if he could stand all day.
MILESTONES:  Drinking from a sippy cup.  Holds on with one hand while standing.  Takes a few steps with assistance.  Will stand on own for a few seconds.  Has two bottom teeth.  Pulls himself up to a standing position.
DISLIKES:  Being in the stroller!
MOM'S FAVORITE:  When he started dancing when my phone rang.  Or when I put on Daddy's hip hop music he will look at me, smile, and start shakin' his body back and forth.  The kid already loves music!
DAD'S FAVORITE:  Daddy taught him how to high five.  See video shown below

High fives for Daddy

No crawling!

Seems Ryden doesn't want anything to do with crawling but wants everything to do with walking.  Every time I try to put him on his knees and help him crawl he immediatley drops down on his stomach, rolls over, and tries to grab onto something to pull himself up.  Oh and he did that for the first time the other day.  That's right...he grabbed onto the coffee table and pulled himself up:

He also has been holding onto things with one hand....big boy!

Please excuse the drool on our shirt!

Winter? What's that?

Hello....it's January and we are in tank tops at the beach.  Ryden put his feet in the freezing cold ocean for the first time.  I think he liked it.

I think this will have to be an every weekend thing if the weather stays like this!

We love the park

It was another park day for Ryden and his friends.  More swinging, sliding, and baby talk.  Ryden hasn't been as happy and smiley as he usually is.  I think his teeth are bothering him.  At first it was a little chilly but then the sun came out and it was so nice outside.  Claire forgot a hat and sunscreen for Oliver so he had to borrow a hat from Aurora.  Soo cute!

Loves the swings!

More baby friends

Today Ryden got to hang out with Moses and Ayla.  They played together while the mommies took turns working out.  Ayla took a liking to Ryden and kept trying to hold his hand.  He is so not into girls right now.  Give him a few years.  After a few laps running up and down the stairs, and a few hundred lunges, we took the babies on the swings.  Ryden LOVED it.....not only does he love swinging...but he loves to look at waves.  So he got the best of both worlds!  Of course I turned him so his back was facing the ocean just so I could get a few cool pictures.  How lucky to be able to let your kids swing and play right on the beach.  I love where I live.

Lovin' life

Just like Daddy

Jason has already started Ryden on the skateboard....at 7 1/2 months!  I think surf lessons are this weekend..

Ryden's favortie thing to do...stand like a big boy!  This is my new favortie picture.

We had a mommy/daddy get together at our house.  There were a total of four babies under the age of 10 months at our house.  Three boys and one girl.  I didn't get a picture with Aurora and Will but here are the other mommy/daddy/baby shots.

Billy/Ben  Jason/Ryden  Corey/Oliver

Stacey/Ben  Amy/Ryden  Claire/Oliver

Aurora was so out numbered by all the boys and cooties!

Happy New Year! (two weeks later!)

Our New Years was crazy!  And if crazy means dinner and board games then we were over the top!  Yes, we started out going to dinner with Claire, Corey and Oliver.  Yes the boys were dressed the same.  Claire bought them each their own New Years shirt.  We followed dinner with a few games of Apples to Apples at our house with Melinda and Teresa.  Now if you have never played that game you are missing out!  We had so much fun.  We played until about 11:30pm and then we crashed out.  Well I managed to watch the ball dropped and then goodnight!  Welcome 2010!

Ryden also loves standing up now and can stand on his own for about a half second.

Going down!

More Chirstmas

We took all the little ones to see Santa on Christmas Eve. When we got there the line was RIDICULOUS...worse than Disneyland. And to top it off they won't let you take pictures from your own camera. You have to buy theirs which are outrageously overpriced. So instead we just had all the cousins pose in front of the Christmas decorations. Much better than waiting in that line with four kids. Aunt Sara bought a sweater for Ryden to match cousin Ben and cousin Jacob. And Emma looked precious in her little Christmas dress. I think next year Santa is going to have to come to the house so we don't have to brave the mall again. PS...still haven't figured out what is wrong with the blog. I hate not being able to leave captions above the pictures!
