SKATE OR DIE!! by Jason Michael MacMaster III

Since Ryden is going to be a professional skateboarder (decided by dad) we try to bring him to as many action sportastic events as possible. FYI -- In moms eyes, he will be a dancer on SYTYCD  and also be on GLEE. This charity event/demo/contest was put on by VOLCOM and Airspeed was invited to help sponsor as you can see from the tent/booth. It was good timesas Ryden loves to watch the skateboarders shred it up braaah.

Happy 1st Birthday Ayla girl!

Last Monday our good friend Ayla turned one!  She had a fun pajama party in her backyard.  It was a perfect day and the birthday girl had a blast.  So many one-year old birthday's coming up.  The babes are growing up so fast :(

I'M 13 MONTHS OLD!!

WEIGHT:  21.8 lbs
HEIGHT:  29.5"
FAVORITE TOY:  Still loves his Brobee stuffed toy. Takes it everywhere.  Also loves his blow up pool and his "fridge DJ"
FAVORITE ACTIVITY:  Anything that involves water.  Pools, baths, hoses, Legoland water area...loves it all!  Also still loves to take everything out of drawers and put it back in.  Sometimes he doesn't put things back in the right place and we can't find anything!
MILESTONE:  I believe he said his first real word "Ouch".  He even pronounces the "ch".  It's so funny.  He "talks" a lot now!  Points to things when you ask where they are...practically runs instead of walks....
DISLIKES:  Holding up these number signs each month!
MOM'S FAVORTIE:  I absolutely love watching him quietly play by himself.  I love when he pulls all his books off the shelf and leafs through them.  I love his little concentrated look when trying to figure things out.  He is such a good boy!
DAD'S FAVORITE:  Listening to him "talk".  Making him laugh (that deep deep laugh!).  And Ryden is going through the "wanting to be picked up" phase so he will always grab Jason's leg and want to be picked up

Last week my friend Sandy brought over her twins:  Jacob and Gabe.  They are almost three years old.  I blew up the bounce house and let them go wild!  Ryden loved to just watch them.  He so wants to be a big kid!  The boys were so crazy wild but when Ry was around they were so gentle and careful.  It is quite difficult to get a picutre with all cooperation so you get what you get!  We have another playdate scheduled for this Friday.  WOO HOO!

Good-bye Paradise

On our way to the airport, we stopped by another park so Ryden could get out some energy.  Again, this was another place Teresa used to take her kids to when they were young.  Ryden seemed to like the ducks and stairs the most.  Go figure.

Two tickets to Paradise

This weekend we packed up and headed to Paradise, California to hang out with Teresa's mom and dad.  They are such a joy to be around!  Can't tell that J's grandpa is 80 something because he is still telling stories and jokes which I LOVE to listen to.  Paradise was beautiful so we took advantage.

  We went to Bidwell Park to play on the playground and in the local creek.  Teresa used to take J here when he was a babe.  Teresa's sister Maureen and boys met up with us also to hang out.  Her boys are hilarious!

After a long day swimming and being in the sun, the fam was so kind to make us an excellent home cooked meal!
