St. Patty's Day parade

Jason went snowboarding for the weekend with Courtney's husband, Danny.  So Courtney and I hung out together and decided to be adventurous with the four kids and take them to a parade.  It was pretty roasty toasty outside and we had to walk a few blocks (and up a hill) to the parade.  The big kids walked for a few minutes and then hitched a ride on the stroller.  Can I tell you how amazing my Uppababy stroller is?  All four kids rode on that thing!
Ryden was unsure about the parade (too loud) until he figured out that the people walking in it were passing out candy.  So all the kids were lined up hoping to get some treats.
Trev was overjoyed with his pop pop
This adorable dog walked right up to the kids and stopped so they could pet him.  He wouldn't leave.  He loved the attention all the kids were giving him.
This was the first time Court or myself had been to this parade so we had no idea about the candy situation.  Everyone had cute bags they were holding to collect the treats.  Ella found one from her friend.  Ry got one from a parade go-er.  Trevin.....used his pocket
Mila found a plastic snack bag to use...poor girl ended up with a bracelet and a gold coin...no candy
Trev showed off his gold coin
And high fived a tiger who was probably roasting to death
It was a fun day...glad we rallied and took the kids..

FUN FACT:  Every night, after we put the boys to bed we say "Good Night...I love you...sweet dreams" and turn off the lights.  The other day, we were playing outside.  During the day, I always randomly tell the boys that I love them.  So I said "Hey Ry...I love you" and he smiled.  I then said "Hey Trevie...I love you"...he replied "I la you too...swee dreams".

Friends and skateboard ramps

Ryden had a few of his homies over and they played so well together.  Boys are so much different from girls.  No drama (yes we hang out with a LOT of girls).  Give them some sand and skateboards, they are in heaven...
Jason broke down and bought some mini ramps for skateboarding.  As you can see, they have been used for anything but....here the boys are playing a bowling game they made up...
Now this is what those things are actually meant for...
We are enjoying our new house...

Making a volcano

Grandma bought the boys a cool volcano making kit for Christmas so it was about time we used it.  The boys mixed the clay and built it without even making a horrible mess.
All ready to sit in the sun for a few days....
After the sun hardened it...we were ready to make some hot lava!  Ryden was very careful while pouring the red food coloring in (until he spilled some on his shirt and he look like he had gotten into a massive fight and lost), and the water too...
Trevin was really good at adding the eruption powder..
Check out this smokin' volcano!  The boys played with this until all the eruption powder was gone and then kept adding more water also....it was a fun project

FUN FACT:  I told Ryden that I had to take Trevin to the doctor for a checkup and Ryden asked, "What's the doctor going to say".  Trevin answered "No more monkey's jumpin' on the bed"......just like the song.  Nice one Trev.

Pj's still on and breakfast on their faces...

FUN FACT:  Trev and I noticed a shopping cart at Target with the wheel off.  Trevin said "Uh-oh Mama...umbody bro-kit (trev lingo)"  I said "Yeah somebody did break it".  He replied "They soooooo busted!"  Apparently, he is the shopping cart police...

Hangin' with some friends

We had a few of our friends over to check out the new house.  Olivia and Sofia entertained Ryden.  And Petra and this huge dog entertained Trevin (although he doesn't look quite entertained in this picture...)  This picture was taken about 2 minutes before Trev fell asleep sitting up..
What's a party without giving lots of sugar to our guests...
And since we have a mini basketball "court" in our backyard...the friendly competition between the men started...
Free throws...and dunking..
Judge for yourself...who's destined for a spot on the NBA?
Jason??
Shawn??
Jared??
And the ladies sat inside and drank champagne.  Good trade off...

FUN FACT:  I was singing some song and Ryden said "You know what song I like?  Get Lucky.  I also like the Counting Stars song".  Trevin casually walked up to us both..looked at us...and said "I like big butts".  Guess I should stop letting him listen to 'Baby Got Back' by Sir-Mix-a-lot

Valentine's Day

I'm not a huge Valentine's Day fan.  Seems like just another typical day when your husband spoils you rotten all year long.  But it is so much fun for the kids and so we made valentines both for Ry's class and Trev's class.  Trevin's class was filled with little ones in red and pink!
The snack moms brought cute little un-frosted cupcakes that they frosted separately and gave to each kid.  After Trev ate his frosted one, he noticed the tray of unfrosted ones and said "Mama, one more muffin?"  One mom looked at me and said "He's pretty darn smart to ask for a 'muffin' vs a 'cupcake'"  Yeah..he's pretty tricky like that.  Needless to say, he got another 'muffin'....without frosting.
Hangin' out with his homegirl Casey
This was the best we could do with a group picture.
We hung out a little after class was over and played with our girls Brinley and Riley.
Brinley got some pretty good shots herself
Miss Brinley was the one who decided to be Trevin's valentine
Then we headed over to pick up Ryden from his preschool.  Ry was so excited to show me all of his valentines and talk about his day with me.  Quick story:
Ry:  I wanted a heart bagel for snack but I got cereal instead
Me:  Why?
Ry:  Because Ava..she's my valentine...picked cereal and she wanted me to have the same thing as her.  I sat by her too Mama.

Ryden's other valentine came to greet him.  Mila adores 'Ryan'
And Trevin adores monkey/paci
And a nice movie night to complete Valentine's Day...look at all those snuggle bugs..
LOVE

It's Valentines Day which explains the frosting on Trevin's face.

FUN FACT:  I asked Ry if he had a valentine this year and he said "Yes.  I asked Ava and she said she would be my valentine.  I was going to ask Holland but I asked Ava instead.  I'll be Holland's valentine next year because she plays basketball with me."  So many girls...so little time.
