Day of fun Sea World style

Since Daddy always has to work while I get to take Ryden to all these cool places, we decided we should let Daddy have some fun with the boy.  We headed off to Sea World.  First thing Ryden did when we got there?
Passed out
So Jason and I walked around for awhile while Ry took a nap.  It was rather cold and chilly so Jason decided against riding on the ride that seemed to be getting people wet.  Instead we just took a picture in front of it.

We saw the coolest looking dolphins and I was sad Ryden was sleeping because he would have loved them!  They looked like minature killer whales
With Ryden still sleeping we decided to go see the penguins.  As if it wasn't cold enough...it was freezing in there!  I was tempted to steal Ryden's blanket!  Bad idea to wear shorts...I was trying to tan my whiter than white legs but that is hard to do with no sun!  Ryden woke up in the middle of the penguin presentation and was in awe!

On to the Shamu show...both of us haven't seen this show in a long time and admit we got a little teary eyed.  Oh, Shamu..how we love you!
They asked for a volunteer and Ryden was happy to oblige (oh photoshop..we love you!)

Next we went to the Seasame Street Bay of Play....
Finally...Jason played some carnival games to try and win some stuffed animals.  Let me first mention how he spent $13 on a stuffed Shamu.  Then for about $10 he won two mini sting rays...and this huge one:
What are we going to do with that??  hahah
We saw some sharks also and did lots and lots of walking (such a big boy)

We had such a fun time.  Luckily we have two year passes.  Shamu we will be seeing you again....soon

San Diego Zoo

Yesterday, we took the babies to the zoo.  Man was the zoo a zoo!  People everywhere!  Auntie Melinda even came for the adventure and by the end of the trip, I had convinced her to get a season pass.  Well when you spend half the day at the zoo and only see some fish, flamingos, and monkey's....the year pass comes in handy.  Yes we only saw minimal animals and then we were done.  But we still had a great time.
  FISHIES!!!!  GORILLAS!!!

All the friends:

.........and Mr. Oliver
Hangin' with Moses
Loves his Auntie

Sleeping Ayla
Ryden likes to play this game...he tries to take off his beanie and I grab his hand and say "don't do it" and he laughs and laughs
Little boy...
Yes...as we were leaving the zoo...this is how we were walking...only took us an extra HOUR to make it to the exit :)
Several bumps and bruises later we left the zoo.  Now that Mr. Ry is mobile he seems to be getting a lot more battle wounds.  We will return zoo and next time see more of you!

I'M 11 MONTHS OLD!!!

WEIGHT:  20.9
HEIGHT:  29"
FAVORITE TOY:  Although she is not a toy, Ryden loves Tyson.  He likes to stand up and hold on to Tyson while "petting" her and yelling.  Poor Tyson just gives us the "help me" eyes.  But deep down I know she loves him giving her attention.
FAVORITE ACTIVITY:  By far....walking...walking....and MORE WALKING!  Ry wants to walk everywhere.  Forget this whole crawling thing...we are a big boy now.  I turn my head for a second and he has walked halfway across the room.  Also, still loves the stairs and loves taking things out of places (ie, papers out of trash, mommy's makeup out of her makeup bag....)
MILESTONE:  He has been walking for awhile now but a few weeks ago he actually started walking..walking.  Before it was a few steps here and there.  Now, he stands up...lets go..and takes off!  This is such a huge milestone and boy am I busy these  days.  Can't take my eyes off of him for a second.  Also, he is getting his two upper teeth and one more on the bottom.  So that will make a total of five teeth!
DISLIKES:  Being picked up.  Oh he will throw a fit!  Throw his head back and start whining.  I don't think so kid!  I am not ready for the fit throwing stage!
MOM'S FAVORITE:  Seeing him walk.  Best thing ever!!!  He concentrates so hard and his little fingers move so fast to help him balance.  And he gets so proud when he makes it to his destination on his own.  I also love how he was so good with all the new people he met on our vacation.  No stranger danger for this one.  He loves people!
DAD'S FAVORITE:  Loves when Ryden lights up when Daddy walks in the room.  Loves giving Ryden his bath.  Splish Splash time!  And loves putting the boy to bed.

This boy amazes us more and more each day and is growing up so fast!  We love you little boy and are so happy you are in our lives!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE GROUND!

So.. Amy wanted me to blog about my Birthday week, but instead I will just sum it up like this.  I know this vid is pretty raw, but it was on SNL - so it must be okay :)

I actually had an awesome B-day week as we had a great family dinner at the house, and then hit up STONE BREW with 15 of my closest hommiez. Amy bought me an amazing painting - thank you mi amor.  And I purchased the IPAD 3G which will be shipped out next week (i hope) + IPHONE for my B-day so super stoked!!

I just haven't met you yet- thank you Michael Bubble

So I love that Michael Buble song and it seemed to play a lot when we were in the car in New Hampshire.  And then it would play ALL day long...but not on the radio...courtesy of John and his singing voice.  The kid seems to have a theme song for everything.  Mix that with Cody's awesome sounds she does for Ryden (Aiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyi) and we were always entertained!  They Byrne's took us to a New Hampshire bowling alley which was a little different then what we are used to.  It is called candle-pin bowling.  The pins are long and thin and the bowling ball is super small.  Of course, Jason was the winner of each game.  We had a super time.  Ryden loved playing with the balls (hmmmm)

Our last day was spent crusin' around Concord.  Cody took us to a park right by her house that had a little lake.  And then we walked through the neighborhoods and looked at all the super cute houses.  It was a great day to end a great trip.
Goodbye New Hampshire
before we go.....random pictures of each of us
Until next time.....Thank you Cody, John, Cricket, and Wade for letting us stay with you and showing us New Hampshire
