Let it snow

This weekend we took Ryden up to Big Bear for his first snow adventure.  Also, Jason wanted to snowboard so we rented a cabin and brought along Auntie Melinda, Claire & Corey, and Mike and Amy.

One of the rooms in the cabin had bunk beds...Ryden LOVED the top bunk.

I also wanted to try snowboarding again since I didn't get to go last season but that didn't happen.  I am sure we will be going up there again and I will have other snowboarding opportunities.  The first day Jason went snowboarding we took Ryden along so he could watch.  Yeah...wasn't happy at all!  It was during his nap time and it was a little cold outside.  He did get a little happier when Jason put him on the snowboard.  We also sat him down in the snow but all he wanted to do was eat it.

We stayed to watch Daddy ride down the mountain once and then Melinda and I headed back to the cabin for naptime!

The only other time he was happy:  Standing on his own

DONE!!!

We put Ryden in the baby bjorn and took a walk which he seemed to enjoy

Corey and Claire came on Friday night super late because of traffic.  I had gone to bed before they got there.  The next morning I went to say hi and notice the boys dressed the same.  So cute

Possibly one of my favorite moments of the trip (besides playing Apples to Apples) was when we took the boys sledding.  Ok...it was really for our enjoyment since the babies practically froze but it sure was fun!

Not going to lie...Claire and I were a little scared to try sledding so we made the boys go first.  After we saw that it wasn't so bad we went...but on a much less steep hill:

When we got home, babe was so frozen so we put him with Auntie Melinda to warm him up.  Little Rudolph nose.

Also, one day while J was snowboarding we took a few shots of the babes in the snow by our house

SOOO CUTE

And finally....when we left it was snowing.  It was so pretty!

Mom's night out

**Warning**  No pictures of Ryden in this post.
Last night I went out with a few friends.  We had a blast!  Melinda was so nice to come over and curl my hair for me to make me beautiful for my night out.  We went to Coyote Bar & Grill for karaoke night.  Dangerous!  Stacey and I were the only ones that sang (and I shouldn't have!).

Claire sure is having a good time!

This cougar came up and started singing with me so I went up and started singing with her.

Disneyland......DAY 4...the final day

Our fourth and final day at Disneyland was just as fun as all the other days.  We started off at California Adventure and made sure we hit all the rides.  It was not crowded at all which was great.  The Toy Story ride was so much fun but we all had to wear the silly 3D glasses.  Ryden didn't seem to interested.
What Ryden WAS interested in was the Ferris Wheel.  I let him stand up on the seat and look out.  He thought that was the greatest thing in the world.  His little hair was blowin' in the wind and he was bouncing up and down

Of course we rode the carousel and also hung out with some more Disney favorites

The Pink Ladies- GG sure did look pretty!

Besides the stop sign store...this was the only other thing that interested Jakey....yes...that's a garbage can!  He loved slamming the lid.  Tons of rides and this is what he would rather do :)

Oh and stepping on "tunnels"

After a few hours at California Adventure we felt we had done all we needed to do and headed over to Disneyland.  We then rode on (of course) Haunted Mansion and a few other rides.  We ended the night with a trip to Toon Town and then a final "It's a small world" run.

Minnie's house

What a GREAT GREAT trip this was.  I miss everyone dearly and wish I could re-live that week over and over.  Happy Birthday to Jacob and Ben.  Thanks for letting me celebrate with you and Mickey.  It was nice to see all the little cousins together.  So loving.  Everyone needs to come back soon.

Today....we rest

Since I had to take Cody to the airport, the rest of the family decided to take a break from Disney as well.  But on the way to the airport, after a conversation with my dad, Cody decided she better check the status of her flight.  Thanks to modern day technology, we were able to find out that her flight was cancelled before we drove all the way down there.  Back east seemed to be having a lot of weather issues....bad for them....good for us because we got to keep Cody.  She decided the best flight for her to take would be on Saturday because she would avoid several layovers.  That meant an extra 2 1/2 days with her which also meant she would be joining us for another round at Disneyland!  We called and told the family the news so they drove down to my hood and hung out with us for the day.  Although my house is not as cool as Disneyland we did have some good times.  We took a walk...played some apples to apples..watched Yo Gabba Gabba...and Ryden impressed with his dance moves:
