Disneyland

Since Auntie was out visiting for Ryden's birthday, and her birthday just happens to be a week later, we decided to celebrate at the happiest place on earth!  The birthday buddies were ready!
I don't know any two people who get more excited for Disneyland than myself and Melinda.  I think we were more excited than the kids!
First stop...California Adventure to ride the Mater ride.  Teresa and I were praying that we wouldn't get dizzy and hurl.
On to the Zephyr ride which went around and around, so I decided to sit that one out.
We were SO excited when we found out that Trevin reached the 40" mark.  This meant that he could ride almost all the cool rides..including the lame jellyfish one.
...and the swings.  He was so happy.  "Mama, I bigger now because I ate my broccoli and drank my milk"  I knew that trick would work!
California Adventure was not crowded at all!  So, we actually got to go on the Toy Story ride because the line was super short.  This was the first time for Jason.  You should've seen him on the ride!  Like a giddy little kid...he loved it!  Trevin, on the other hand, refused to wear his 3D glasses.
Next, a couch ride on the Merry Go Round
We had gotten a fast pass for the Cars ride which was the best idea because we didn't have to wait long at all!  This has to be one of my favorite rides.
 Documenting Jason...documenting the ride.
Soaring over California.  Trevin's first time
We took a break and had some healthy snacks...or Cheetos.
Teresa told me to pose so she could take a picture of me in the cool, big, red chair.
Then she asked Melinda to pose...she totally one up'd me!
A few more rides and a trip down the slide and we headed over to Disneyland
Toon Town roller coaster is a favorite
And of course, Small World.
Disneyland was CRAZY busy!  So we decided to call it a day after one more ride.  Another first time for Trevin on Star Tours..
 Until next time Disneyland!!

Ryden turns SIX!

Ever since Ryden turned five, he said he wanted his sixth birthday at Chuck E Cheese.  I figured he would change his mind by the time the day rolled around.  But he sure didn't.  I suggested several other places, but he was adamant....so we headed to Chuck E Cheese.  Jason's awesome friend, John, drew this amazing picture of Ryden for his party favors.  They turned out perfect!
Chuck E Cheese really is a great place...the kids love all the games..
...and so do the adults
Miss Olivia riding the merry-go-round
Amazed at all of the games...
Trevin hitching a ride on the Jurassic park game with his two besties...Ann-she and Tessa.
The best part was having Auntie and Grandma there!  Auntie came all the way from Texas and Grandma came all the way from Oceanside.  That's almost the same distance when you factor in California traffic :)
Since starting kindergarten, Ryden rarely sees a lot of his old preschool homies...so it was nice to see some familiar faces.
Koa and Ryden
Miles and Ryden
And I hope everyone remembers Ryden's preschool girlfriend...Ava (and a nice photo bomb from Miles)
Go Trev Go!
Go Auntie Go!
Poppin' bubbles
Winnin' prizes
Koa and Ryden enjoying the roller coaster
Oh #TessAndTrev.  They rode this ride about four times in a row.  Again!!
There was a video screen above the ride where you could watch their reactions..
 Hugs for Mama Angie
Trying to pry the kids away from the games to come eat pizza was quite the challenge.  Eventually, we got them all rounded up
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate that Trevin is sitting this close to the cake and it is still in one piece...but of course, he did not take his eyes off of it.
They played some birthday video and all of the kids were intrigued.
Ryden and Kai.  They met about two weeks earlier at the skate park and became instant friends.
Cool face bro..
 Cake time!!
And then it was time to bring out good ole Mr. Cheese...in the flesh.  So funny that Ryden won't go near the characters at Disneyland but was all about this mouse..
Family photo.  I think this might be our next Christmas card
...and finally...the thing Ryden has been talking about for a whole year and the reason he wanted his party here.  The famous ticket blaster!
I'd say he had an awesome birthday.  Thank you to everyone who celebrated!

Tour De Pier

Every year, Skechers organizes a "Tour De Pier".  Although it might sound like we are biking from pier to pier, we are actually on stationary bikes in front of the beach.  It is all to raise money for cancer research, so I was happy to participate.  We got the Smith's to join in on the fun as well.  The men went first while the ladies watched the kids.
The kids loved watching as well...and also liked hitching a ride.
The cheering squad...were more interested in climbing on the bars..
Angie and I were up next.  Not to toot our own horns, but we are pretty much pro spinners.  We go once or twice a week at our gym so this was a cake walk for us ;)
Afterwards, we took the kids over to the mini bikes so they could ride also.
Oh #TessAndTrev
We even got some swag to take home.  Good thing Trev picked out his special 'workout outfit' to wear.  He fit in perfectly.
