Happy first of October

CATALINA TRIP - 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Its Jason here - getting an opp to update the blog. Amy and I left Ryden with grandma and aunty Mel for an entire day (first time) and ventured out to Catalina island. It was an awesome day of adventure...glammer, glitter, fashion, and fame (sorry that was the JEM theme song).

Amy and took the Catlalina Express over to the island starting off the day with some 8am Bloody Mary's. Long story very short, we fit the following activities in our day trip; Rented a golf cart and cruised the island, karate kicked for the locals, ate corndogs on the beach (Amy's fav), rented waverunners, snorkled at a reef, and drank huge margarita's before getting back on the boat at 6pm. By the time we returned home, Ryden was already fast asleep. Thank you T-tawg aka grandma G for letting us out to play.

I'M 4 MONTHS OLD!!

WEIGHT: 14lbs 8oz

LENGTH: 25 inches

FAVORITE TOY: His butterfly stuffed toy. This has been a life saver for car rides. He now entertains himself with this butterfly while riding in the car.

FAVORITE ACTIVITY: Jumping in his "Johnny Jumper" (bouncer thingy) He turns around and his little chunky legs stick out the bottom...sooo cute!

MILESTONE: Laughing. Rolling from tummy to back. No more bobble head!

DISLIKES: Taking long naps. He is a power napper all the way

SLEEP PATTERN: Half of the time he will sleep the entire night 7ish-6ish in the morning. The other half he will still wake up once around 4ish...eat...and go back to sleep. He loves sleeping on his side also

We absolutely adore this boy more and more each day. He got his shots today and was such a trooper!

More family time

Jason's family came out to visit this weekend. This included his Dad, Stepsister, Grandfather, and two Grandma's. So this translates to Ryden's Grandpa, Aunt, Great Grandfather, and two Great Grandmothers. They each got to have baby time and Ryden loves being the entertainer. We also went to dinner on Saturday night and everyone oooed and ahhhed over him at the restaurant. It was nice to have my hands free for most of the weekend because someone was always holding him. It was also nice to see everyone since we don't get to see them that often.

Aunt Cody visits

Last weekend Aunt Cody came all the way from New Hampshire to see Ryden for the first time. We had so much fun in the two days she was here. On Sunday we went to the La Jolla Aquarium. Ryden loved looking at all of the fish although he fell asleep about 10 minutes into it. But of course his naps are only about 20 minutes long so he was up and ready to see more in no time. Cody was the first one up in the mornings ready to take Ryden out of his crib and play with him. (She was also the first one asleep at night too! HA). We loved having her here and Ryden got attached right away. Now it is our turn to travel to the East Coast to see her.

Best Buds

When I was in Phoenix I stopped by the Izzet's house to visit Ryden's bud Paxton. They are exactly 8 weeks apart. It was so cute to see them together all though they had no idea what was going on. Ryden was smiling up a storm...I think he had a crush on Jade.

Ryden has been super drooly (not a word) and chews on everything so we diagnosed that as teething. So not only is he teething already (yeah...a little young), he is also losing all of his cute baby hair. Balding magoo!

More Arizona

Not only did I get to visit Tucson and all my family down there, I got to go up to Phoenix for a night and hang out with Katie and Chris. Even though I was only there for about a day we still had so much fun. Katie was in heaven because she had nobody around to steal the baby from her. She was baby hog the entire time which was so nice for me! I think Ryden started to get sick of all of us girls because he sure took a liking to Chris as you can see in the video below:
