After I ran the 10K Jason said, "So when are you going to try a 1/2 marathon", to which I replied "NEVER!" Well I guess peer pressure got the best of me (thanks Cathy) and next thing I knew I was signed up for the SD Rock N Roll half. Finding time to train was a little difficult (who has time to run 7-10 miles a few times a week with kids and a hubby who works all the time?) So I felt a little unprepared but still set a goal for myself to run the whole thing. Even if I ran at a snails pace. Decked out in my Bret Michaels gear I was ready to go. The race was so much fun! Super high energy, cheer leaders, but the best were the sign holders. I got a kick out of reading all the signs people were holding up. "Don't hurl!" "Worst parade ever" "Don't stop, don't stop....that's what she said". But I have to say one sign really got to me. A lady was standing solo holding a sign that said "You inspire me....yes you". I honestly choked up a bit. I hope she knows how amazing her small little sign made me feel. Anyways, here are my stats just for my records..and yes I ran the whole 13.1 miles:
Finished in 2 hours and 21 minutes
Overall: 8580 out of 17,600
Age group: 718 out of 1762
Gender group: 4397 out of 11,220

Happy birthday Auntie!
We celebrated Auntie Melly's birthday by going to Ryden's favorite place. REAL BOWLING. We had an awesome time. The first round of bowling, the birthday girl didn't do so hot. But by the second and third game she was getting strike after strike! Now that's the way to do it!
Help from Grandma
Entertaining himself between turns
Auntie and her nephews.
The crew....HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNTIE!

Someone loved the jet ski
While Cathy was visiting we rented some jet ski's. At first Ry threw a fit but once he was cruising around he didn't want to get off....
Time for me to get a job so we can afford some jet skis I guess

The big 3
FAVORITE SONG: We are young by FUN
FAVORITE DVD: Still into Curious George but also loves his skateboarding videos
FAVORITE THING TO WEAR: Doesn't have a favorite at the moment. Pretty much wears whatever I put him in but once somethings on he won't let me change it even if the shirt is too big.
SO IN: Riding his scooter and doing all the skateboarding tricks with his tech deck skateboards
SO OUT: His toolbox. He played with it non-stop for awhile and now it is collecting dust

I'M 9 MONTHS OLD!!
WEIGHT: 18 lbs
FAVORITE TOY: Anything he can grab and put in his mouth. Preferably if it contains small parts he could potentially choke on
FAVORITE ACTIVITY: Walking around the coffee table. Moving around. Taking baths with his bro.
MILESTONES: Walking a lot more now (when holding on to stuff), eating tons of big boy food like steamed carrots, crackers, eggs, goldfish, cake, pizza....when sitting up he can go to a crawling position. Rolls around all over the place. Still no crawling...he wants to soooo bad! Sleeping through the night!!
DISLIKES: Being on his stomach. Baby food! Not being able to crawl. Being held.
MAMA'S FAVORITE: Man he is just such a fun baby. Great personality and loves observing everything. I also love how he stands up for himself when his brother picks on him. Won't be long before Ryden is getting beat up by Trev
DADA's FAVORITE: He can tell he is already more outgoing then his brother is and will probably be jumping off the roof in a few months. Dada's boy.

Fishes
My elementary friend Cathy is in town with her son Joaquin so we headed to the aquarium for some entertainment. The boys loved it after the huge herd of people passed us. Even Ry who has been a thousand times.

They're here!
I know everyone probably knows this already from Facebook but my sister had the twins. Vera Kate and Harper Ryley arrived on May 18th. I know they are my nieces so I am biased but they are beautiful!!! Too bad they are all the way in Boston or else I would be baby hog of the year! Congrats John and Cody. Can't wait to meet them.
