Ryden update

FAVORITE SONG:  "Change of heart" by Cyndi Lauper thanks to Grandma T-Dawg.
FAVORITE DVD:  He is really into Jungle Book right now.  He also loves the Disney Sing-a-longs
FAVORITE THING TO WEAR:  So the converse shoes in the above picture...I had put those in Trev's closet because I thought they no longer fit Ryden.  The other day he dug them out and made me put them on him.  He says they still fit and now he wants to wear them every day.  Also, his checkered vans were in the same situation.  Every day he tells me "thank you for the new shoes mama".  Easy to please
SO IN:  Loves stickers.  Arts and crafts consist of him sticking a bunch of stickers on a piece of paper.  He also loves writing the letters 'R', 'P', and 'B'.  We are working on the rest of the alphabet.  Loves playing baseball and basketball in the backyard
SO OUT:  Store.  We used to play this game at least once a day but I think he has moved on.
FUNNY STUFF:  Ryden was doing something he wasn't suppose to (can't remember what it was) so I was talking to him telling him not to do whatever it was he was doing.  He looked at the ground, quickly cut me off, and said "Ohhhh Mama....your toenails are beautiful.  You got a new color!"...yes I had just gotten a pedicure.  Needless to say, I stopped "scolding" him and had a full on convo about my toes.  Well played Ryden....well played

Love this kid!

Random events of the past few weeks

Love living walking distance from the beach.  Makes for great morning and evening walks
Can you spot Ryden starin' off in the distance?
Mama and Trev enjoying the beach (until someone decided to eat sand several times.  For realz?  Aren't we past that stage??)
J and I got all dolled up to go to a fundraiser event for Ryden's preschool.  The theme was 'dress like a celeb'.  We thought the easiest costume would be Posh and Becks.  Little did we know that several other couples had the same idea.....but we were by far the best (in my eyes)
Doing my best posh look....
I even got to meet a few celebs....Lady Gaga
Kim Kardashian
And my new Bff... Britney Spears.  Seriously...we totally hit it off.  Courtney and I have already hung out several times with the Hubz and kids.  She has two girls same age as my boys AND we both had 'Better Together' as our wedding song...meant to be?
Her daughter Ella and Ryden totally hit it off.  That's perfect since they are going to get married one day
And here is Mila (Courtney's other daughter) making out with Trev
I did a little bit of "modeling"...just had to post this picture because I am #obsessed with this outfit
Oh and it totally snowed in Tucson!  What the?  Wish I was there for that!  But through it all...the old cactus is still standing.  Thank you Ahwee for the picture.  Ryden loved it!
And one last event.  I signed Trevin up for MyGym.  Its a fun place for him to bounce, hang, jump, run, and just be crazy.  Jason took him today and got some great shots
Who doesn't love bubbles?
Don't...let....go!
And that pretty much sums up the last few weeks...

Pretend City

We headed out to Pretend City with our friend Aurora.  This place was amazing.  A pretend post office, dentist/doctor's office, garden, ATM, and Ryden's favorite....a grocery store.  He could have spent the whole day shopping for grocery's...and I would have let him if I didn't have to chase Trevin off the pretend stage
Ryden was so stoked on this laundry detergent he shopped for.  Kept telling me "We can do laundry now Mama!"
Trev even found a friend.  She helped him 'buy' all of the fresh produce
Moving on to the restaurant.  Aurora made Trevin this huge plate of food.  Such a charming waitress.  Too bad they didn't have a pretend gym there
Finished most of it..left a few olives and peppers
Before we left we had to make one more stop at the grocery store.  This place was awesome!  Where was this when I was a kid??  Oh yeah...at my house but mine was called imagination city

Friends reunion!

The Silverman's left Seattle and came back to Carlsbad for a quick visit.  So of course we had to have a reunion with all the kiddos.  They were so fun together!  Played non-stop and I swear you could hear them all reminiscing about the 'olden days' (in their own language of course).  Charlie and Ryden even got to have a slumber party the night before.  Best friends forever!
These kids played for hours on end and laughed together
Ayla....Charlie...Sam...Moses....Ryden
Jason even gave some pretty cool wagon rides around the yard
I seriously want to steal Julie's daughter, Kelsey.  She sat and played with Trevin forever.  He even sat in her lap perfectly content for a good 20 minutes....which is impossible for him to do
Guy pic
Girl pic...this little outing made me miss these girls even more...sniff sniff
And one more shot of the crazy kids....really?

Hangin' with our homies....at Disneyland

Since we moved, Hun and I use Disneyland as a halfway meeting point.  This time we convinced the Dads to come along for the ride.  We had a blast!  Moses and Ryden were attached at the hip the whole day.  Even rode in the stroller together
The carousel proved to be WAY too exciting for Miss Ivy
And Trevin wanted nothing to do with it until we started moving
And of course, out of all the animals to choose from...Ryden still picked the couch.  Best part was that Moses sat right there with him even after Aaron tried to coach him onto a dolphin.  We needed plenty pictures of the couch potatoes
Me trying to be artsy
While Aaron, Jason and the older boys waited for 50 minutes in the Mater ride line, Hun and I were stuck chasing Trevin around.  We took the little ones to this bug's life show which scared the living daylights out of them (good idea Amy!) so to make up for it I bought some cotton candy.  (Another great idea if you look at the pictures)
I used a whole thing of wipes to unstick his shirt from his skin!
We moved on to Disneyland after realizing we were NEVER going to be able to ride the Cars ride.  There was nobody at Disneyland.  Probably because half the rides were closed.  Splash mountain, big thunder, teacups, small world....but oh well.  The lines were so short.
Jungle cruise!
We even got to head over to Tom Sawyer's island and explore some caves and treasure!  Trev proceeded to find some treasure of his own....some random M&M's that he was happily munching on before I realized anything

The boys were so good about posing for pictures.  Dream come true for me!
CHEESE!
Cave time
CHEESE AGAIN!
Aaron being creepy
Gold Doubloons!
Then onto the Autotopia cars...Trev got bored waiting and started to dance around
Once the sun went down it was chilly-to-the-max!  Trying to keep a hat on Trev = nightmare on elm street part2
By the end of the night...Trevin had had enough...Moses also
But...one more ride before we left.  Moses and Ryden got to ride all by themselves at Buzz Lightyear.  Best. Ride. Ever!
