New York....Day 1

Jason had to work in NYC for a few days so Ryden and I decided to tag along with him.  Teresa was wonderful and agreed to watch Trevin for the whole week (I was having a little anxiety thinking about lugging both boys around the city).  Our flight was delayed for FOUR hours so we had plenty of time to play around at the airport.
The first offical day in New York was a Mama/Ryden solo day.  Jason had to work of course and so did Auntie Katie.  Since we were still on Cali time, Ry and I didn't even get out of the hotel until around 10am.  We were staying near Times Square so we did some sight-seeing....at Toys R Us (which would prove to be his favorite spot of the trip...we visited it several more times)
We rode the Ferris Wheel which was pretty darn cool.
While we were riding around and around the Ferris Wheel Ryden kept pointing to several things.  Well once he said "Hey!! Look at those Gingers!!"  I said "Oh you mean those Gingerbread men" and he said "Yeah...sometimes I call them Gingers..."  Alrighty then...  So of course I made him pose by them
Kid was such a trooper.  Posed by every lame thing I asked him too...I'm such a PT Patti!  He picked out his one toy he was allowed to buy (angry bird) and we left.
Next was a brief stop at the M&M store.  Trev would've gone NUTS in this store!  Ry calmly looked at everything and picked out one small packet of M&M's to buy.  Such self control
After more sight-seeing, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for dinner with the whole crew.  Katie and Cupcake both made it down to meet us.  Ryden loved that Chris's name was Cupcake...
Then we all walked to the heart of Times Square after dinner...yes exactly where Ryden and I were all day....and yes we did stop back at Toys R Us AGAIN!  One more angry bird for Ry because Dada is a sucker
Katie and I LOVE making people pose stupidly for pictures.  And Katie is happy to oblige when I tell her to say CHEESE by some lame puppets...
Usually Cupcake is a tough case when asked to take stupid pictures...but maybe Jason and the "Gingers" changed him....well played Jason

Day one complete...Ry was such a trooper.  Hanging with the big kids and staying up late....what a little New Yorker

I'M 21 MONTHS OLD!!

WEIGHT:  23.8 LBS
FAVORITE ACTIVITY:  Loves anything to do with tooting.  In the bath he makes it a point to fart and hear the bubbles and then will laugh and laugh!  He likes peeing in the potty like his bro.  We haven't even attempted potty training but he will pee in the potty right before his bath.  Loves choosing which diaper to wear.  Since his diapers have different patterns on them, I hold two up and he chooses.  He also has started snapping??  Don't know how he learned that but every once in awhile he will point, snap, and say some incoherent word.
FAVORITE WORDS:  Ok...we are starting to talk a little more.  Now he can say 'up' and 'out'.  Says 'blue, boo, and ra (for RyRy)'
FAVORITE BOOK:  Trev is also getting better at paying attention to stories.  At bedtime we read "On the night you were born" and "It's time to sleep my love" and he really enjoys those.  And several occasions I have found him and Ryden both sitting quietly looking at pictures in books.
DISLIKES:  Every so often we walk to the donut store in the morning for a treat.  Well now he knows where it is and every time we drive by it, or walk by it....he has to point and grunt!  And then will get a little upset if we don't stop for a donut
MAMA FAVORITE:  Today when I was at the park with the boys, I actually sat back and watched both of them play with each other on the playground for a good 20 minutes!  We pretty much had the park to ourselves and they were having the best time going up and down the slide, chasing each other, and laughing so much!  Cheesy...but I will remember that moment forever...melted my heart.
DAD FAVORITE:  Jason really likes how adventurous Trev is.  I can tell he wants him to hurry up and get a little bigger so he can take him on the fun adventures that 'just the dudes' go on...like kayaking, skateboarding, etc...

Auntie Mel's Day

Auntie got married to her Prince Charming last weekend.  The wedding was amazing and the bride was so beautiful!  It took place in Temecula at the cutest venue ever!  It was all outdoors with lots of green for the boys to run wild and a cute little vintage house to make the setting perfect.  The weather was gorgeous and everyone had an amazing time.  Well done Auntie!  Warning:  I really failed at my picture taking this time.  I was busy being the Maid of Honor and J was busy chasing the boys around.  But here are a few...
The girls
I never get to wear my hair up so I took the chance to have someone do it for me.  I LOVED it so I had to take a thousand pics to remember it
On to the wedding....Can you believe this is one of the only pics I got of the bride and groom??  Nice one Nick!
Hugs for Grandma...

So nervous!  But at least I went before Jason and his RAP!  He won over the crowd!  Didn't get a picture of it but did get a video which is currently on YouTube...

New York pics just for Cody Byrne...

About two years ago, Ryden and I trucked all around NYC with Aunt Cody.  This trip I was inclined to find some of the memories from that outing and recreate them.  (Sorry...a lot of inside jokes)
MEXICAN ELMO!!!
(although not sure he was mexican at all...and Woody wanted in on it too..)
I really tried hard to recreate the snow cone pic...this was the best I could do
Mercedes Benz outfit
Pink Panther saxophone player under the bridge!  I must've made Katie go under 50 bridges until I found the right one!
Shake Shack!!!
Throwing money into the fountain (different fountain...same excitement)
Countless hours walking around while Ry sucked on his fingers and held Brobee
And finally....up and down the escalator.  This time it was at Toys R Us instead of FAO...
MORE TO COME
