Tucson part1

While Jason is exploring China, I packed up the boys and Molly and headed to Tucson to visit everyone.  Ryden is on spring break (which is still funny to me that preschoolers get such a thing) so we didn't have to worry about missing too much in California.  The minute we got there, Toby was excited that I brought him a friend.
Trevin (yes still in his PJ's since we left for Tucson when it was still dark outside) grabbed every skateboard ramp and built his own skate park outside.
Then Papa set up the cool ghetto slide for hours of entertainment.  First, Ahwee was asked to wipe it off.  "Yes boss, yes boss".
Of course, Trevin had to point out the poop at the end of the slide.
Then it started getting dark and we all headed into Papa's office.  Molly Boo found her favorite spot to sit.
And Trevin put coins in the wiener mobile.
At about 7pm we were all done from the early morning departure.  Both boys picked some of Ahwee's stuffed animals to sleep with.  Ry fell face first into the big bear and passed out!
Trev snuggled up with Care Bear and was out!
Growing up, if you mentioned you liked something...my mom would continuously buy everything she could find in that item.  Ry mentioned he liked cactus, so we have been receiving cactus trinkets for the past few years.  Ryden continues to be excited over each cactus goodie and mom did not disappoint on this trip.  When he woke up the next morning she gave him this collection of stuff...
Yes, my mom got him a cactus shaped cookie jar and Ryden may or may not be sleeping with that thing in his bed each night.
My dad is in the process of building a little house in his backyard for GG to occupy.  So there are several tractors, diggers, dumpers, and a huge dirt hill out back right now.  So we did a little exploring.
And then Boo had to go and get a stick stuck in her tail which Trev thought was hilarious!  That was nothing compared to what she would get into a few days later (foreshadowing..)
I wanted to do something Tucson-y so we headed downtown to this event called Hullabaloo.  The cousins joined us.
We got there a tad early, so we had to entertain ourselves for a bit with..
lollipops:
...pretending that we were waiting for the bus while reading the bus schedule
 ..posing with our cousins
...high fives
...and hide n seek while still seated in the stroller
When they finally opened, we were rather disappointed in the whole Hullabaloo.  They were charging admission to get in, and then everything inside cost money as well.  The petting zoo, the bounce houses...so there was really nothing for the kids to do.
So we took off and headed to the Children's Museum right across the street since it was free admission day.
P.S....Ry sure does love his older cousin Ben
When we got in, the kids headed straight for the grocery store area...which is where we spent the most time the last time we were there.
Trev loaded up on the pretend chocolate cake
And all the dairy products which I assume he thought was all ice cream
Ben was such a good sport.  He played cashier while the little ones unloaded their grocery carts.
Trev couldn't leave without buying a pizza
Emma explored the human eye and mouth
And Ry followed Ben to test out his vet skills
Trev moved on to the healthy food...but it didn't last long
...because he discovered the popcorn cart when we were leaving.  Yeah we left pretty quickly because the place started to become a mad house!
Ben and Ryden.  Ole' buddies ole' pals
Emma with the popcorn on her lap.  Jacob missed out!  He loves popcorn!  But he was busy having fun at a birthday party.
At home...and still eating popcorn.  CHEESE!
