Another race in the bag

My fifth race DONE! I've done two 10k's (6miles) a five mile, and a 1/2 marathon (13.1miles). This was my first 5K (a little over 3 miles) and I've decided I should only do 5K's from now on if I am crazy enough to keep signing up for races! At least I could talk Courtney into running this one with me!

Stinky petting zoo & Gymnastics

Trev and I decided to meet Torin, Kinen, and Jonah at the petting zoo while Ryden was having some Grandma time.  Let's just say that Trevin wasn't too thrilled.

Jonah was a little unsure as well
Tiff was all about it...even made a new friend
Yep....Trevin was clawing at my legs ready to go away from these stinky hungry animals
But boy oh boy did he love the train ride!!!  Cutest thing ever!!  He kept waving to everyone...not just me
Crazy driver Torin
And this cornbox (yes not sandbox) was filled with corn kernels.  Corn castles anyone?  Torin had other ideas..what the?
Trevin just wanted out!
..so he could make out with a frog
And on a Ryden note, he started gymnastics and LOVED every minute of it.  We made the mistake of letting him watch the show 'Wipeout' and now he is obsessed.  During gymnastics, I could see him picturing the floor as the Wipeout course...it was really adorable to watch..
And it's nice that our good friend Ella is in the class too...because we do everything together

Ayla turns 4!

Little Miss Ayla turned 4 and we went to her party to celebrate!  Ryden and Ayla go way back so every time they see each other it melts my heart.  Ayla is very protective of her 'RyRy' as shown in the below picture.  She did NOT want this other little girl in the photo..
We played in ditches and made masterpieces
And Ryden absolutely loved the pinata (sp?)...he was really whackin' the thing trying to get that darn candy...and then he would cheer on everyone else when it was their turn
SUCCESS!
All the kiddos
RyRy and Ayla....
....friends forever

New York...the last day

Our flight wasn't until late in the evening so we had some time to kill.  Katie and Chris met us for one last hoo-rah and we did some tourist-y things.  We visited Wall Street, Statue of Liberty, and Twin Towers.  Cupcake was so informative...I felt like I was on a personal tour and learned so much about the city!
That's as close as we got to the Liberty Lady
We decided to do some more walking and.....SQUIRREL!!!
Katie caught me in the middle of a 'casually walking' picture
Chris was such a trooper.  Katie said he never lets her take his picture by his work office but he was nice enough to pose for me....
Misson....act like you are holding up this big red square thingy....Commit to the photo...
Girls:  Nailed it!
Boys:  Wa-Wa-Waaaaaa
Auntie tried to soak up as much Ryden time as she could...
Our last spot was to check out a cool pirate ship!
...and of course, one last subway ride
This pic was taken in the airport waiting for our plane home...what an amazing trip we had!  Thank you Auntie Katie and Uncle Cupcake for being such awesome tour guides and great company.  Thank you Gma Teresa for taking such good care of our little boy while we spent some much needed one-on-one time with Ryden.  Thank you Jason for allowing us to tag along and letting us have so much fun while you were working so hard.  We love you!  Can't wait to bring Trevin next time we come!
