Austin...Day 2

We decided to hit up the X Games while we were in Austin.  Man!  Was it brutally hot!  The venue was so spread out so each event took a long time to walk to.
The clouds rolled in and some rain began falling down which was welcomed by all.  About two minutes later, the clouds disappeared and the sun was blazing again.
We finally arrived to the street skate competition (which Jason was most excited about), found some seats, and waited for it to begin.
Red little cheeks...
About ten minutes into waiting, we realized we were in the wrong area so we packed up and moved.  We couldn't find any good seats so ended up sitting in a place without a very good view.  Both the boys were melting down from the heat so I went in search of a treat.
Jason purchased a few 'treats' for us as well.
Not the best view...and roasty toasty
 Popsicle selfie!
After the popsicles were done, so were the kids.  Ryden was super whiney, hot, tired, etc.  So I took them to some shade to cool off.  They both immediately passed out.
I sat by them for awhile and then Teresa came to switch places so I could watch the skateboarding.
After the competition was over we were all done.  It was a long walk back to the car and then we headed out to dinner.
There was a jar of pickles on the appetizer menu, so we ordered one.
The boys decided it would be cool to drink the pickle juice...which they surprisingly liked.  Well, I kinda like it too...
A little brother teasing...
..and rock playing.  The restaurant was so cool..all outdoors on huge picnic tables.  Plenty of room for the boys to be boys.
After dinner, we walked around downtown Austin.  Had to get a pic by the cupcake RV of course...
We were all sun drained and tired after the long day...so we called it quits and went home.  We all had a great time!
