Santa Monica

Last weekend we decided to head to Santa Monica for a spur of the moment adventure.  We arrived at the pier a little early.  Nothing was open so we walked over to the mall so J could do some "trend shopping".  It was a little chilly but the boys loved running around!
This fountain area kept these two entertained forever while Jason went shopping.  Jumping of the ledge?  Ryden's heaven
Trev pondering if he should jump in the water or just try to imitate his brother
CUTE!
Ryden and I played hide n' seek for a little bit
Trev did not appreciate being contained in the back of the stroller
We went into Barnes and Noble.  Trev is running around like a mad man looking at everything.  Ry picked a Dr. Seuss book and sat quietly in the corner....that's my boy
Our friend Molly happens to live in Santa Monica so of course we had to meet up with her and her fiance for lunch.  Trevin walked right over to her, sat next to her, and was in awe.  Pretty unusual for Trev but totally cute!
Also, in awe of her dog...
Then on to the rides
Trev....the risk taker
Handsome little boy
Typical Trevin move while doing something that requires patience.  Jumping out of your arms...
Big guy in a little boat....
Super excited Trevin.....ROLLER COASTER!
What a fun day....was so good to  hang out with Polka Diddy!

Mini carnival

There was this cute little carnival near our house that we decided to go to.
Ry rode all of the rides that he was tall enough for.

I stayed behind with sleeping beauty Trevin.  No way was I going to go on Tilt-a-hurl
Ry and J went on this ferris wheel on crack....it spun so fast that I got dizzy just watching them!
Finally, Trevin decided to wake up just in time for the last ride.  A boo-ring bug thing that he looked less than thrilled to be on...and then we left.  Chopped liver Trev...that's what happens when you don't sleep at night and decide to take two naps during the day.

Birthday celebration for Jason

Jason is sure getting old....when I asked what he wanted to do for his bday he said "Chill dinner with the fam and maybe a small hike".  Well that's just what he got.  Teresa came up and stayed with us for the night.  Mexican for dinner...and a few margaritas on the side didn't hurt
Trev was pretty well behaved for Trevin...skateboarded most of the time
And then the cake came...Yum city!
Someone is CITED
The next morning we went on a "hike" which was really just a walk down to the beach.  It was pretty windy and cold but once at the bottom we got to throw some rocks...Ry's heaven
Since that didn't take much time...we headed over to Wilderness Park to feed the fish and wander around.  This park is super awesome.  Feels like camping except the fact that you can see houses at every direction.
Ry said this tree looked like a "knee"
Well...hello there
Turtle mania on a little rock!

How artsy of me
The next night, Auntie and Nick came over and brought cheesecake.  My picture taking skills lacked that night so I don't have any shots of them...boo!  But I have a few of Ryden's love for cheesecake
Happy birthday to the best Dada around!!
